The Best Hotels in Sikinos are mostly located in Sikinos Town (Chora) or at the port of the island of Alopronia. Sikinos is one of the most remote and small Greek islands, and if I am being honest, you should not expect any luxuries. If you are researching accommodation for Sikino, you already know why you might be thinking of visiting the island, and this is for its quiet vibes and overall wilderness. Most of the hotels on the island are not even hotels but small suite complexes or family-run B&Bs.

Sikinos belongs to the Cyclades group of islands and is very close to Ios and Folegandros, but in general, it is much quieter and less developed than any of these two islands. The island is a massive rock with only 2 main villages: Chora and Allopronia, which is also the main port.

Sikinos island is quite far from Athens, and you can reach it by taking a ferry from Piraeus (it takes about 10 hours ) or from Lavrio Port in Athens. I honestly believe you need a car in Sikinos because the island is not that well developed, and your vehicle is the only option when it comes to transportation. There are a few beaches to visit and a few things to see on the island, and you will be better off with your rental car.
